Lol, as I was typing that I literally thought to myself, “rabidfish probably would have loved that set.”
FWIW I love all their stuff pretty equally aside from HB being a bit above the others for me, so I still was happy with the set overall.

The All Points East festival lineup for the day I’m going is incredible, can’t wait.
The National, Fleet Foxes, Low, Kurt Vile, King Gizzard and Perfume Genius. Only ever seen the National before from that lot too.
Will be even better finally watching live music with the wife for the first time since Covid/the birth of our daughter. The last gig we watched together just as Covid hit was Goo Goo Dolls with some friends, seems a lifetime ago

I consider National and Fleet Foxes to both be headliner standard

Congrats on the birth of your daughter Doof.

I am happy I saw them during the Crack-Up tour too. The Shore tour was Shore heavy but also a great helping of songs from their debut and Helplessness Blues. Notably, it was Crack-Up light, and that might be because those songs were already played during 2017.
There were only 2 more Songs from Shore played when compared to their debut and Helplessness.

Appreciating this album a lot more after seeing these songs performed live

I’ve been under the impression since 2020 that this was supposed to be their last album and that they are no longer a band. Now I can’t find anything to remotely back this up. Did my brain completely fabricate that?? If so then wow, this is a great day

I have no recollection of anything like that

Featherweight is really special. So delicate and ethereal, I wonder if they have another song in their discography that matches the brilliance of it. So far I haven't found one

This and their debut are their weakest to me, albeit still superb in their own rights (this is beautiful and slightly overproduced, the debut is very subtle and charming but lacks memorable moments outside of a few highs). Both are still hard 4's or light 4.5's for me.
CU and HB are undeniable classics in my eyes.

crazy how i can have the exact opposite opinion. This and debut are way better and memorable. CU and HB are way too proggy and lack really memorable and impactful moments for me.

Really consistent band, but my ranking is Crack-Up>Fleet Foxes>Helplessness Blues>Shore. Can't go wrong with any of them though.

@sowing I thought we were on the Crack Up thread for a second and I was baffled at your comment. I'm like, if this is overproduced then what about Shore?! lol.
Helplessness Blues > Crack Up / ST depending on the day > Shore (but even Shore is still an easy 4/5)

Too proggy AND lacks memorable moments? How on earth

Damn this one has really been growing lately. My first impression was that it was too simple and mainstream sounding but honestly every song is a beaut and still captures that signature FF feel
