okay so the opener, ooh la la, out of sight, goonies vs e.t., walking in the snow, and a few words for the firing squad are actually all killer after a few spins. everything else i'm very lukewarm towards

"the people who dislike this album/rtj in general seem super into telling you about it. not saying their opinion is any less valid than the people who dig it, but it's fucking odd."

This literally just applies to any hyped album ever

And I dont think the rationale for that is particularly elusive

People who five this are probably the same people who think that Marshall Mathers LP and To Pimp a Butterfly are masterpieces.

Yeah people love to trash on popular stuff. Everyone does it.
*rates album low and leaves smug comment*.
Jokes aside, this album isn't their best lmao

Yeah this album is air-tight, solid from start to finish, love the beats and the flow of both Mike and ElP, and the production is excellent. My main gripe is the length of the songs, there were a few moments where a track ended and it caught me off guard. Also, I found Greg Nice's vocals to be annoying on Ooh La La.

I can't comment on the Marshall Mathers LP as I haven't heard it, but what's wrong with To Pimp a Butterfly?

So many mediocre songs on this. Always the same themes following the same exact formula. Can't fathom how anyone could give this anything higher than a 3.5. First 3 are clearly better albums.

Police brutality is such an overused theme, we get it, but it's old. Move on please.
