Yet I must say I don't know much of the dude's work. I tried Worry. a couple of times and always felt kinda meh. Sorry Worry. fans.

agreed, dim. Scrambles is still my favorite album he's done. Went with Vacation because it's definitely the most accessible Bomb album.

if im not wrong "Scrambles is more immediate than Vacation" means pretty much the same thing as "Scrambles is more accessible than Vacation".
i've seen people say Vacation is the most accessible BTMI album because it's obviously the most stylistically straightforward one (straight indie-punk with very little weird ska/electronic/hardcore elements) but i really think Scrambles is the easiest of their albums to get into. it's poppier and has waaaay catchier melodies/hooks + that enrapturing super fun energy. maybe ppl would be put off by Scrambles if their tolerance for weirdness is incredibly low cuz it's really not a very weird record at all.

Idk, man. Vacation was instant love for me. Scrambles actually had to grow on me a bit (just a bit). Different stronks.

I started with Album Minus Band and Three Cheers by ASoB, both incredible records. Jeff has just been in the zone his entire music career.

Oh man, Ohio Tpke got me in a big way. You come for the fun, raging punk and end up getting punched in the feels. Album is just too perfect.

I find it so hard to get into this dude. I have tried with the the last 3 records and just cannot find myself enjoying it at any point. Need to initiate operation Jeff Rosenstockholm Syndrome. Just blast this for like 12 hours until I love it.

Feel like I should be into this more as well. I have liked all his solo stuff, just never loved it. The man is clearly an excellent musician and lyricist and his albums always flow really well.
I just find the vocals grating a lot of the time, which is probably the main thing that holds this back. Sure lots of people would disagree with that but here we are

dont understand the scrambles is easier to get into than vacation talk lol. scrambles is still very rooted in their earlier, weird abrasive songwriting tendencies. vacation is just a really incredible indie punk record with upstrokes.
