"Good example of this is the part in I Remain from 1:50 on. It's wonderful."
Very nice choice, a top moment in their whole discography.

this seems to be a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of quality
like the first 2 tracks are pretty ok and then the next 2 are fucking awesome, then the next one is quite bad,..

nvm just finished listening to the whole thing and its consistently good, though it does feel like some of these songs were written by different people lol
forsaken is the only song i hated and "ghosts" and "the devil embraced" the only ones i really loved
'serenity' and the closing track kinda gave me some DT vibes

Don't want to get your hopes up, but it's a pretty awesome album

I digged it. Im not that well acquainted to their style and pace though, doom and gothic metal i guess but yeah, nice

Band's been boring as hell their entire career, but this is easily their best
|

The only issue I have with their early material is the guy really sounds like the metallica dude in places, which Im not a fan of at all. Think Faith Divides Us is my current favorite though. Get the feeling a lot of their work takes several listens to really get into, like Katatonia has been recently.

the 2005 S/T is great. It has some great songs such as Sun Fading, Redshift and Forever After.
That album was evidently inspired by Depeche Mode and to me it made it quite interesting. It also marked the return to PL's heavier side which got even heavier after each subsequent release. Lost Paradise, their debut, on the other hand is a whole different story.

"That album was evidently inspired by Depeche Mode"
That explains everything
