always thought that was a weird practice like why call each other a word that if used by others outside of “the group” is considered deeply insulting
|
| |
I can see either argument for that. Like the "re-claiming" argument vs that
|
| |
it didn’t have the aforementioned negative connotation until it was adopted by other races & in so doing bastardized by either meaning or intended meaning?
|
| |
if so then i can see that
|
| |
i think you're thinking too much, joe
it's a nasty word because of the vitriol behind its usage, simply
if you call your washing machine, or microwave, a n***** it's pretty meaningless aside from just being uncouth

@joe yea I guess "re" claiming is an odd way to refer to it. I guess it would be more appropriately referred to as just "claiming" lol. Not lile the f bomb ever had positive connotations in regards to gays either. But I know plenty of gays that talk about "reclaiming" the f bomb too, and who love using it
|
| |
I'm firmly in camp "not my place to decide" so either way is cool.
|
| |
reclaiming is an accurate enough term
|
| |
I actually do but I use it race neutrally fwiw.
If you cut me off in traffic I couldn't give a fuck what you look like.
