I dunno, I prefer Pitfalls to the last 3 PoS albums.

RS 2 and In the Passing Light of Day are easy 4.5-5.

RS 1 and 2 are both awesome. Passing Light was excellent, too. Pitfalls can't be compared to any of them, though.

Seriously now, "Below" could easily contest in the next Eurovision gathering. I liked a lot Bilateral and tried to listen to this but simply didn't like the first 2 songs and didn't even finish listening.

Nah, Below is good, but not that pleasing to the masses imo. Alleviate is the pop song here and it's so good

I couldn't get into any of their previous albums (too technical for me, and the vocals turned me off). But strangely this clicked, despite being so vocal centered. I think I'm slowly getting used to Einar's voice, and the light electronic instrumentals really work as a base to the album's soundscape. Will give it a few more listens for sure.

But Malina isn't technical in the slightest

Well I'm not sure if I remember correctly if it was the technicality (or lack of) that threw me off Malina but I remember not digging it or any other Leprous album. I do know some had these crazy riffs and song structures which I wasn't fond of at all. Honestly this new direction could be just what they need to attract new fans (including me, though I'm not that huge on this yet), and I'm glad it's as accessible as it is.

And boy, Alleviate is beautiful and instantly memorable.

That's very strange, because again, Malina was far more straightforward than anything before it. Listen to Illuminate! Pls

"And boy, Alleviate is beautiful and instantly memorable."

So does From the Flame

Hmm alright I might give Malina another shot these days. From the Flame was one of the few songs i liked, that chorus stuck with me.

Digging the groove of 'By My Throne', lovely vocal melodies on 'I Lose Hope' and Distant Bells has a great climax. The rest is kinda eh.

It's a shame, but the band kinda lost me after The Congregation.

I prefer any PoS song to the entire discography of Leprous.

Even Disco Queen, yeah.

Disco Queen is amazing though. And PoS have some rather forgettable tracks on their last three albums. And I'm one of the people who would defend these albums any day tbh
