Oh wow, the lyrics to "Diamond" are just what I needed to hear. "Well, there's a guaranteed parade of broken promises, did you expect some kind of miracle? You do what you can do, that's all, all, all." Damn.

Recommit into congratulations is an amazing 1 2 punch to end the album [2]
The tension building in Congratulations is intense.

I’ve never really been able to get into Jimmy Eat World for whatever reason, but this is a slice of catchy pop rock that I absolutely need. “Stay” hasn’t left my head since my first listen

Listening again and I was a bit overzealous with my 4.5 but still really damn good

I saw these guys live this summer and it was really bad lol. I think there was a short in their set-up somewhere cuz the whole thing sounded like static and no one did anything about it. Other than that it was just a super standard rock show with 0 showmanship.

That's shocking and there must have been extenuating circumstances like you said. I saw them a few times and every time they were incredible. Adkins has awesome stage presence. One of the best live bands I've seen.

"the only music that rateyourmusic praises mostly is jazz. I love jazz as well but I like all genres of music."

I’m talking about overall music from the 1950s to now, not just new music

Honestly listening to this again makes me wanna jam Futures and Bleed American... It's good, but kinda wore off me quick.
Last three songs are stellar.

Sad to see some of those change of hearts. Played this for my brother on a drive yesterday and I only grew to love it more. And now, as Sowing wonderfully worded it, it's started to "gather some snowflakes." I think the 5 is cemented for me

I think the 4 is cemented for me. Very happy with the album. I hoped for it to live up to IB and it's at least in that ballpark.

Nice! I think I'm gonna take a break from it for a few days and see how it holds with fresh ears. Been listening nonstop since the leak.

A definite 4 for me. I actually slightly prefer it to IB. This is basically tied with Invented for my third fav Jimmy.
I fucking love 555 now. Can’t believe it. One of the best music videos I’ve seen in a bit. Simple but extremely effective and perfectly translates the song (just listening to it on the album doesn’t really show it’s true colors — it just sticks out like a sore thumb).
