Haven't listened to his two latest yet (I'm saving those for the right mood), but everything I've heard yet is as far from "quiet, cheap synths and the occasional piano or violin" as it gets, so yeah, I can only recommend diving in somehwere else.

Don't dislike that one at all, but I think he's done way better. Higgs Boson Blues are top tier Cave, no arguing with that (Finishing Jubilee Street, We Real Cool and the second+third track combo spark less joy though)

Haven't heard it yet, but i'm sure that lyrics like "up in the mountain there is a house and in the house their is a broom and the broom was red and red was the wine i was drinking while Harry Potter took the broom and went away, went away, went......... Right now I prefer Skeleton Tree by a small margin but I can see this growing to a 4.5 before the end of the year. This man is in a state of grace.
