I really wouldn’t worry too much about Pots’ rating justifications

"You don't even like the production on Speedboat???"
just sounds like some cookie cutter fuccboi shit to me tbh
like at leas the piano is kind of nice but ya this is like my least favourite style of hip-hop

Nah, man. This shit is good. I don't even see how it registers to peoples ears as flat out terrible. It's just like, pleasant. But whatevs lol
|
| |
it makes me feel stupid just listening to it tbqh
and that is not a diss against people who listen to this style of trappy fuccboi shit its just a diss against the style lol

I don't have a stylistic preference to anything, I'm pretty sure. Maybe a slight east coast and southern preference in hip hop, but I like to think I'm open to every kind of everything.

basically i don't think ur stupid for liking this but i do think it's stupid

i still rly like wish & automatic

Wow, how could you just call Denzel trappy fuck boi shit like he's Lil Pump or something?? Not fair like at all.
|
| |
i definitely have pretty clear cut hip-hop preferences
|

Speedboat has nice production, but I never come back to it. Fr I wanted all fuccboi shit on this record and Speedboat kinda felt like trying to hard.
Ricky is the truest banger of this album.

i'm not calling denzel that, i'm calling this album that.
|

You can be a fuccboi, and still make good music, unlike Lil Pimp
|
| |
yeah!

"I like to think I'm open to every kind of everything."

In the context of his work, it illustrates his range. Like this is the same man that came out with gems like "Clout Cobain" and "Zenith".
|
| |
he prefers trappy fuccgirl shit.
and I mean who can blame him
|
| |
This is not an album that needed range. It sounds out of place in context. Maybe should’ve been a Taboo song.

its funny I have essentially the opposite problem of pots: I can like this stuff a lot sometimes (although I wouldnt call myself the hugest trap fan in terms of migos-like repetition [minimalism?], which this isnt really) but I just dont like denzel curry something about him rubs me the wrong way. if I wanted a shouty-as-hell rapper I'd listen to that one amazing big baby gandhi song

"In the context of his work, it illustrates his range. Like this is the same man that came out with gems like "Clout Cobain" and "Zenith"."
i mean considering denzel can make good music i could have told you he'd be able to emulate a style of music that requires 0 brain cells
