"go listen to nightmares"
talk about bad advice . Not that it's bad or anything but basically an entirely different band.

Of course it does! It doesn't make sense to me when people say 'everything since Daybreaker sound just like the same', because Daybreaker clearly is its own beast

No, but the last three have pretty much been the same shit over and over again. Gods is probs the best of the three and this one is the worst, even though that doesn't say much lol

I tried All Our Gods couple times, but it didnt clicked with me, feels kinda bland. Ruin and Hollow Crown are much better, lot of energy and ideas.

Yeah, Hollow Crown was their last good one.

All our gods is the opposite of bland, prob their darkest album and Sam's vocals are on point (same with LFLT) listening the the first track is enough to get that tbh

True, but Gods already got too samey imo. LFLT had more diversity even though it was already kinda homogeneous.

Ye honestly I have a real soft spot for LFLT, it's brutal, complex and all the melodic sensibilities are there, it still manages to be emotional and well I could go on about that album forever I really dig it, guess because daybreaker was my introduction to them and didn't expect to like the follow-up album to follow that direction
I still feel like All our gods was a better album overall but to each their own, production on all their albums are top notch tho

"Yeah, Hollow Crown was their last good one."
This.
They make OK music for what they are, but Hollow Crown suggested great things for this band. Been a steady decline since.

This really had no staying power at all, I only really come back to Royal Beggars and that's it . I even considered dropping this to a 2.5 but I have a soft spot for this band. Maybe I'm just moving on from metalcore in general

I still don't get the appeal. I've tried listening to them on record, but it just doesn't do it for me. Seem em live twice now, first time was in a concert venue and they were fine. Second time was at graspop this weekend, and after a few songs I actually started sitting down, followed by laying down and having a sleep for the rest of their show. That pretty much tells everything.
Maybe I'm just starting to outgrow these kind of metalcore bands.
