I'm really excited about the new model they are following. Worried about burnout? The Beatles made Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour, White Album, and Abbey Road in a 4 year span.

the music industry has changed just a bit since then and Emery's gonna make way less money per record lol

I saw that new model they are going to try, too. Doesn't sound appealing. Oh well, this band has kind of fallen off for me, so it doesn't really matter, I guess.
I have yet to do anything with Twitch either.

Did anyone hop on their livestream last night? They played the whole EP and talked about the meaning and recording of each song. It sounds really freakin good and I'm tempted to subscribe for that signed vinyl

Anyone listen to their new Dead End EP? New material sound like this album or different? Haven’t signed up to their membership yet.

the new track sounds a bit like their older stuff with the heavy tone, kinda like it

New song is okay. It has ideas I like, but for the love of god they need to stop with the screams. They sound so worn out and don’t fit anymore. Still I liked the lyrics for the most part and the musicianship was pretty good.

"but for the love of god they need to stop with the screams. They sound so worn out and don’t fit anymore"
hard disagree, they have some weird moments on this LP but then there's stuff like Sins of Every Father where it's absolutely perfect

I had to relistened to even remember there being screams on that song. Yeah when it’s in the background and mixed with Devin it works, but it needs to be sparse and not be the focus. The screams in Jesus Wept are the worst offender for me. Completely ruins a good song otherwise.

Emery screams are some of the best post hardcore screams in the genre.

I love Emery screams.

Theyre kinda weird sometimes but they rule

I thought the screams were solid until Eve. They just seem so blown out and don’t fit the overall style of the album.

relistening to this again and oh man things get so good halfway through. It's a bit uneven in the first half but the second half just has so, so many great tracks

No prob. Just updated the new EP on the band's page here. Apparently they released a new EP in May as part of their indiegogo campaign: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/emery-s-8th-full-length-album-emeryland#/
Surprised nobody reported on that tbh
