How can a band be this good? It's so catchy, punchy, beautiful and it just rocks. The production is great as well. Like, what the hell. It's everything a heavy metal fan could ask for.

80's Maiden is unmatchable Sabrutin mate

Agreed... partially. Yeah, '80s Maiden is unmatchable but it somehow lacks wide variety. On Queensryche's territory you find albums considerably different. You have to be in completely different moods if you go and listen to the Warning, then Empire and then Promised Land.

I think 80's Maiden has substantial variety. The sound clearly changed every 2 to 3 albums or so throughout.
You mention different moods.......The Dianno records to POM or Powerslave to SIT and SSOASS
Depends on my mood man

Alright lads, aside from a few songs on the Verdict, they’re playing nothing but old tunes on this tour. Looks like I’m dropping the $40 to see them.

The QR swooning in the last two pages warms my heart.
I tend to agree, just looking at writing credits from their golden years, that with Wilton as chief songwriter the best we can really hope for is something slightly reminiscent of the old days. DeGarmo and Tate's influence, as much as I dislike admitting it, and don't want to take away from Whip, are what made them truly magical.

why do you dislike admitting that?

Because despite the new records actually being decent, we’re never gonna get anything as good as their ‘80s material again.
I’m fine with Tate being out of the picture, but I really wish DeGarmo would join back up.

I guess because I want one of the remaining heroes to be capable of finding that magic again...

What if Tate and DeGarmo got back together? How would you fellas feel about that?
I'd be all in, at first anyway.

I'd definitely be willing to give them a chance. I still listen to every Tate release once or twice, even though I have very little hope of it being to Queensryche's level (but the Mindcrime Trilogy release he did was decent).

I'll always be interested to hear a Tate DeGarmo collaboration, Chris is easily one of my favorite songwriters. However, I have my doubts that it would be something relevant.

DeGarmo has released an album or two with his daughter on vocals. Just acoustic stuff, but not bad.

I had no idea, I always have serious concerns about those father & son releases.

So nice to see Chris playing again. Love Song is alright.
I had the opportunity to interview Chris in 1997, he's super cool.

I bought it when it came out, just to show support. I haven't really listened to it very often, but it's not bad. I think there's a new one coming out soon (or just barely came out). He seems like he'd be a chill guy.
