honestly this new track is just the kind of song where you sit there in awe at how tremendously talented these musicians are. There’s more awesome moments in this 80 second track than some bands can muster on an entire album.

I never got the impression they plan or seek permission for anything that they do. Sending friends to do their interviews. Never knowing if anyone in their photos is actually in the band. Getting kicked out of a ton of businesses filming a music video. Breathing fire on the money that a venue gave them to play. Accidentally bumping the end of some anime show on Adult Swim right off of people’s DVRs by debuting their video with Tommy Wiseau. The list goes on.
Never got the impression that they’d ask for permission, but rather they just do dope shit, and people react. Then again maybe I’m biased because I fucking love this band.

It’s also possible that he’s more upset that it was unreleased material, rather than sampling something he’s purposefully shared with the world. I still think it’s fucking silly. The song is dope, it’s a minute twenty banger that people are talking about with his name front and center. Take the free advertising and relax guy. Haha.
