This one ebbed off pretty quickly after its release but now it came back in full force. Totally digging it atm. Very strong album from beginning to end and a hard 4.2 for me right now.

lol yeah I mean Scott has been there since Painkiller but everyone feels Halford is basically the band at this point. Funny that Deep Purple actually has more "original" members touring with Gillan, Paice and Glover.

It's just Paice actually who's the only original Deep Purple member. And if I'm not mistaken, he missed two shows in 2016 because of a stroke which were the only shows he's missed as a Deep Purple member since 1968! Dude's a legend.

@manosg Right, I gave "original" the scare quotes since it's not accurate but people think of Mark II as the original Deep Purple. Maybe "classic" is the better term.

while I do agree that this the best JP album in years, I think this sound is very outdated in the modern metal landscape. this simply isn't very creative and it is quite boring to be frank.
