This was my very first Grindcore album and I didn't even really like it that much then

Gravedancer is cool though, well mostly because I heard it when I was a kid playing Tony Hawk's American Wasteland

my first grindcore too, loved it, then i heard more and

pig destroyer are very good at gettin people into grind but they didn't have much staying power for moi

prowler's the only one i can still jam but it's not even one of my top favourite grind records

tbh I don't even feel like getting into grindcore that much after listening to Insect Warfare/Assuck cuz everything is just the same but worse after that

theres classic grind and new grind, both are pretty different. those guys you mentioned are the cream of their crop pretty much ( and of course discordance axis) but i really love classics like carcass, napalm death, and especially terrorizer, for the most part even more than IW or Assuck (i find a lot of their music indistinguishable, which is fine tho cuz it works as an album experience perfectly)

repulsion, siege and other precursors were amaze too. the early grind era had so much energy.

new grind is just an over-produced pissing contest in terms of how fast your triggers and 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0's can work

classic grind will always and forever be the real deal
