Yeah i was disappointed at first too.

This is only ranks as their second-least-favorite for me, but their albums are all 3.5-4.5 for me so that's nothing too bad

Their last two records might even be my favourites. Obviously Bilateral and TPS are amazing, but I mostly find myself listening to the newer ones when I want to jam Leprous.

Also, seeing them play Malina songs live definitely helped me enjoy the album even more.

I find this by far as their best album. These guys have a really cool formula going here. Heavy without being particularly distorted and pretty without being cheesy. It's a tough blend but when done right you get this.

Right, I like Bilateral, but to me these last two albums were their best to date

Yea, it does m/ This is one of their best imo. When I want Leprous it's either this or The Congregation

Yeah, same recently. Really digging their current style and as much as I think Bilateral is amazing in its own way, Malina and Congregation might be more interesting with their musical concepts and styles

and I cant fucking stop listening to Bonnevile, really

Nah, Bonneville is amazing in the way it builds and releases in the end.

Imo the less impressive songs on this are the shorter songs that go in a bit of a pop direction, like From the Flame or Illuminate. Still great songs, though.

Also, Golden Prayers rules and belongs on this album.

I love Illuminate so much

And I have to agree that Bonneville is one if the best songs on here. And I love the poppier ones as well

Started to reorganize the song order to mix it up a bit. I think this flows quite nice:

Bonneville

Stuck

From the Flame

Illuminate

The Weight of Disaster

Leashes

Captive

Golden Prayers

Coma

Malina

Mirage

The Last Milestone
