Counterparts return with arguably their strongest outing to date. Considering Brendan is the only original member of the band left, this is a remarkable achievement. The powerful melodic leads of new addition to the band Blake Hardman create a beautiful, diverse soundscape that sits perfectly underneath new drummer Kyle Brownlee's outstanding fills. Another point worth noting is the crushing lyrics. While being a theme since the bands inception, YNYA shows Brendan at his songwriting peak with tracks like "A Memory Misread" and "Fragile Limbs." A fine addition to any Counterparts fan's record collection, YNYA will impress old and new fans alike.
