If Opeth makes another shitty prob worship album I'll walk over my Orchid across the Blackwater Park during Morningrise and beat everyone in the band to death to the point of Damnation and Pale Communion and their souls will be devoid of Deliverance and their children will all have Still Life and no more Heritage.

The feeling of the album is good, I like it almost the same as PC but in a different way, I dont get the hate tho, it is a good album. Not the best? Sure, but that crap 1 or 2 scores makes me laugh.

Yeah even if you don't dig the proggy stuff, the softer tracks and moments are very well done, enough to make it at least a 3 for me. Other stuff is growing though too, really dig the vibe on this one.

Chrysalis and Era are both pretty great. The only songs on the album that really sound like Opeth to me.
The Wilde Flowers, Sorceress 2 and The Seventh Sojourn are all lowlights/skip tracks.

people have gotten ridiculously picky when it comes to new Opeth stuff. all of a sudden they were all like "omg that one riff in the background during the verse is horrible, I hate this song".
this needs some more spins, it's a mixed bag for sure
