But I love this, my favourite shit album since last year's Grimes, and I posted on that thread daily for about three months :3

"I just realised the Latin for 'thank you scientist' is 'this sucks'. Clever name"

It's amazing. Better than anything Dream Theater has put out since the 90s anyway! Each track really delivers hard!

This isn't half bad, I call BS on the 4.1 average but I expected worse based on the recent wave of criticism

I found most of this boring, although there were a handful of tracks that really stood out. Not sure if I feel like revisiting though.

It's worth it, but not too much.

God, I love to play Mr. Invisible on the rums. So much fun.

Mr. Invisible is a major standout for sure. That was the first track I heard off of this and I was blown away. Didn't seem like the other songs were on the same level tbh but I could be wrong. Only listened to this like twice.

I've been revisiting this more than I feel I should be. Instrumentally this is great stuff, there are several amazing moments sprinkled throughout, and most of these songs are catchy as hell ("Amateur Arsonist's Handbook" especially, woke up this morning with that song stuck in my head).

Album is very, very far from perfect though. I don't mind the vocals as much as a lot of users here seem to, but they do tend to make some of these songs feel like extended anime theme tunes, and that's not a particularly good thing

Anyone catch these guys in a Boston basement last night? While Haken played a couple blocks away? ;)

I liked a few songs on this (Caverns, The Somnambulist, Mr. Invisible) but man does it get old by the end of the album. After a full hour it's just like "ok, you have horns and strings in your band....got it thanks"
