III's definitely one of the best in the series. Obviously there are still problems with it (especially the hokey acting), but the atmosphere is just amazing. Not to mention how great the duels and action scenes are

I can't stand III honestly. I is my favorite, with V being a close second.

Me so don’t like Ep I

I’m legitimately curious on what makes Episode I your favorite.

I hate TPM, but it's definitely better than RoS. TPM at least kinda has a purpose. RoS just feels like a pointless end to a pointless trilogy.
|
| |
For me AotC is the worst of the first six, even though structurally it's an improvement over TPM. I is the quirkiest and also the messiest of the bunch, but unlike TRoS, it's an enjoyable mess that introduces new and exciting scenes and elements to the franchise. Along with a bunch of weird and cringey moments. II is more flatline and feels like it was made for television.

idk. For the longest time I never knew about the bad reputation Episode 1 had. I had the VHS of the movie when I was a kid and I watched it over and over, it's what made me a star wars fan. I just assumed everyone else liked it like I did, it wasn't until I was like 14 years old, when I started frequenting star wars internet fan communities, that I realized how much people hated it.
I don't care if people don't like it, different strokes for different folks, but the "fans" getting mad at anyone who doesn't toe the "fuck the prequels" line can shove a red hot poker up their ass for all I care. Episode I did it's job in attracting young kids to the series, and creating a new brand of fans. It wasn't for the old, stick in the mud, 40 year old fans who wanted shit to stay like they did in the 70's.
It's the same shit with the Disney series. The old fans are a minority, either go with the times or fuck off. It's not our time anymore. And to be fair, prequel fans are doing this too, as if we learned nothing from the way we were treated for 15 years by older fans. People getting mad cause shit isn't doing exactly what their 50 fucking Star Wars lore novels that nobody fucking read did are unabashedly stupid.
All Star Wars is good. The OG trilogy is good, the prequel trilogy is good, the Disney trilogy is good. All in their own way. I am sick of dipshit negativity from annoying neckbeards who base their entire view of the movie on RedLetterMedia's garbage ass review video. Jar Jar Binks exists, get over it. To a lot of children, he was a fun character, who were the intended audience in the first place.
I'm not going to dictate to you which movies you can or can't dislike, but I am sick to death of constantly having to justify my liking of that movie to people because it is just inconceivable someone have a an opinion that is different.

"the Disney trilogy is good"
only thing you said in that whole statement that's false. Disney can suck a fat one
I agree that Phantom Menace isn't that bad, it's just not very good either. My comment was directed more at the fact that your opinions on media in general are so consistently against the grain that it almost feels contrarian. Props for it, even when I think the takes are smelly and bad. Certainly makes for interesting discussion
