@BlackMalachite - I'm listening through their discography all this morning and Cheshire Cat to Neighborhoods all shit on this, very few fresh catchy riffs in comparison to their past material, and honestly like Matt Skiba but he performs better on nearly all of Alkaline Trio's records then he does here. Matt's presence vocally on this actually really disappoints me.

For your pleasure, of course.

@JWT: You didn't find a lot of the riffs on here catchy? I found most of them to be honestly infectious, and John Feldmann's production makes everything flow so much better.

I agree with that Onion. I'm actually disappointed because I love Trio and originally thought that this combination would have worked.

Eh I'm one of the few actually digs Tom's annoying vocals, I just think Matt's vocal delivery is stale as hell considering he's done great vocal work on the past few Alkaline Trio records.

BlackMalachite - Album has it's moments, some of the riffs are decent but for a band that ha some iconic riffs this album pales in comparison.

Matt's only performance here that's at all praiseworthy IMO is "Cynical." Also Tom was always my favorite vocalist of the two.

Seems to me like the band wanted Matt to do his best impression of filling in for Tom instead of adding his own flair to the album.

I liked Neighborhoods when it first came out. Though pretty disappointed, the vibe of a dysfunctional band worked in favor for the album.

Besides the track 'Fighting The Gravity', possibly the worst thing I've ever heard from this band.

I still don't understand how the best track by a mile off of Neighborhoods, Even if She Falls, is a B-Side.

at least when tom was bad, he was laughable.

That's a great tune, but I feel like Natives was the best track. Still jam to it to this day.
