This is like a 4.1. Major/Minor is like a 3.8, imo

This is a bit more varied than M/M, and that's a huge plus

arguably one of the best songs they've done yet

Was never able to get into this band but how are they, like, the most consistent band ever

Haha. Was going to say the same thing.

On that topic, does this give anyone else a Vena Sera-era Chevelle vibe kinda? The heavy production and emphasis on melody makes the comparison jump into my head every time I listen at one point or another.

Enjoying this more than the last one so far.

@Ash I can kind of see it, but not really. I hear more Foos than Chevelle
Edit: their sound on this reminds me of somebody but I can't put my fucking finger on it

Actually I think this is the worst Thrice album

I never really got into Beggars as an album. This thread made me go back and check it out. One thing I took out of it, is that the song Beggars is an absolute masterpiece.

Beggars is one of the best tbh

I am amazed that M/m is higher right now. Loved M/m but after about 15 listens I confidently say this is superior. I feel similar to this record as I did when I first heard Vheissu. Perhaps distance made the heart fonder (the hiatus) but man I freaking love this record and it is getting better with each listen!!

"nah, that's Chevelle"
it's easy to be consistent when you make essentially the same album over and over again
