Fivehundred and twenty-first time poster here. I really enjoyed this the first couple of spins and there are a some memorable moments/tracks but the majority of the songs just aren't that great, especially compared to TGG.

I never really enjoyed the whole record, but Cardinals is definitely one of my favorite TWY songs.

I haven't seen much discussion in this thread about "I Don't Like Who I Was Then". That song is this albums version of "Don't Let Me Cave In" from Suburbia and "Teenage Parents" for TGG -- a fast-paced straight up pop-punk jam with a huge chorus that will go down as the go-to track from this album. Just classic Wonder Years.

^yea gotta agree with that one.

also i think it needs to be said that the title track is really great, contrary to TWY's previous little acoustic numbers

It's hard to explain, I think the actual musicianship is fantastic all around but I feel there's some disconnect between me and the songs unlike The Greatest Generation which I felt very close to. Maybe I just need to give a few more listens

"9/10. Fuck this is disappointing. Nowhere near as good as their previous album."

9/10 seems pretty close to 10/10 from where I'm standing.
