Dunno man. Maybe a bit dramatic at times because of Bruce's delivery or some "recycled" ideas or some typical Maiden-esque passages may be perceived as cheesy by some.

Not from me though. I'm the king of cheese, considering my love for mid-90s power metal and Manowar haha.

Tears of a Clown is definitely the worst song on the album

That and Man Of Sorrows

Anything in disc 2 could be the worst song for me, save for Empire.

I loved that they tried something a little new for them with Empire. Bruce really turned in something special there, writing- and performance-wise.

I'd say take disc 1, add Empire, and call it a day.

Tears of a Clown is far from the worst. Not the strongest, granted, but it's sincere and profound in its lyrics (being inspired by Robin Williams and all).

I still think Valley of Shadows is the only real misfire on the album. Too derivative from their earlier work and almost lazy.

The Red and the Black is one I'm tempted to say is a favorite... but maybe a shade too repetitive? I don't know, what's anyone else's two cents on that song?
