No, no, I'm not trying to start a pissing contest here at all, I'm just shocked even when I'm trying to strip away my fanboy-ness!

And to an extent I get Toondude's point - it kinda comes back to that whole point about appreciating that although one album is objectively poorer than another, you can still enjoy it more as a listen. Well that's how I see it anyway - I still disagree but often replay value for me isn't measured on the skill or strength of the songs...

I haven't 1'd every Muse, I thought they were a 'poor' indie rock act but now they're an 'awful' operatic pop rock act.

I enjoy a lot of albums that are objectively poor from a musical perspective (mainly all pop and pop-punk) but even then there's varying levels of skill involved. To me, it's the same as saying Minutes to Midnight is the best Linkin Park.

well toondude only listened to absolution once (i hope think) so maybe he hasnt uncovered its beauty yet. this one is a lot easier to take in

but yeah the only song that compares on here is 'the handler' and even then it would be one of the weaker tracks on absolution

Yeah I've only listened to Absoultion once but honestly I can't really seeing myself listening to it again save for two or three tracks.

It definitely takes more than one listen to reveal itself.

When I was in year 7 and they were getting us to play piano in music lessons, I found the sheet for Apocalypse Please and I played it to piss the teacher off.

Good times.
