El-P is one of the best producers in hip-hop, period.

I dont see how this has playback value for anyone. Even Oh My Darling played itself out after like 10
plays. The last two tracks are still good but honestly 5ing this album makes no sense to me at all.
So inconsistent and so little substance. And wtf are people talking about their flows on here for?
Their flows are both mediocre, it's just El-P's intricate production that makes them sound solid.

each, at least. can't stand hip pop with no playback value

The individual talent of these two is insane. This album isn't bad at all, but I've never heard such a disappointing collaboration. They had a perfect formula on RAP Music then decided to change everything. I think this might of just been a marketing stunt to try to get more white audiences with El-P rapping during their tours.

I would say they're pretty comparable to be honest. I think this one is a little bit better as they seem to have taken it more seriously and there are a lot of very thoughtful lyrics. I guess it comes down to personal preference, and not to say I don't love the bangers, but I like that they seem to be aiming in the direction of saying something meaningful with their albums.
I also think Killer Mike is waaaay better on RTJ1 than on this, but that El-P is much better on this one.

I like them about the same

yeah they're so comparable quality wise for me. If I was gonna be super lame and .1 increment the whole thing, I would say RTJ was 4.3 and this is 4.4-4.5

"My solitary condition's preventin' conjugal visits
Though mainly missin' my missus, they keepin' me from my children
Conditions create a villain, the villain is given' vision
The vision becomes a vow to seek vengeance on all the vicious
Liars and politicians, profiteers of the prisons
The forehead engravers and slavers of men and women
Includin' members of clergy that rule on you through religion
(He'll strip your kids to the nude and then tell 'em God will forgive 'em)"

that last line (the one El-P delivers) comes close to being the biggest eye-roll moment on the album for me. I like where his head's at but he sounds like a greasy r/atheist douche.
