yea lol i always have a blast jamming this. all the harder songs go the fuck in and any track that utilizes barr's singing is a win in my book dude's voice was smooth as silk
mixture, up all night, and vahle are my ultimate bangers here but im pretty much hooked for the whole runtime

Something tells me they wouldn't play too much stuff from when Barr wasn't in the band lol, so they'll probably have a setlist full of via, no sleep, and new shit

yea probably just gonna play feels good like the livestream show and call it a day. wouldnt mind seeing some of those songs like waves control/pullin shades since myke sells the fuuuuck out of his hooks but id def rather see literally anything from the barr days over the whole record lol
i j hope i get to experience via's t/t live. song takes my breath away one of the most beautiful things ive ever heard. admittedly don't think they've played it much after via's initial touring but i can dream

Pullin Shades would be dope to hear live, Myke kills it. Honestly Different Animals would've made a damn good EP of tracks 1-5 + Pullin Shades

right on those are exactly the only songs i come back to lol. mid stretch is really bad (i can kinda dig heavy silence sometimes tho) and i dont like the closer at all but other than that its got a lot of solid jams. myke rules he's definitely got a better scream than gus did and his singing voice is really damn good. im so stoked that we actually have the combo of him and barr now

With less cringe lyrics this could bump up to 3.5 for me. Also the more I listen to Gus the least I can stand him. He was tolerable on Via just because he added a little bit of variety but as soon as Michael started to sing he became immediately useless.
So stoked to have the new album with Barr and Terry. They complement each other really well.

what i love about volumes is how they do not, absolutely ever, let you off easy or with the 'good ending' on VIA or No Sleep a lot.
like when wormholes hits its melodic break after the punishing first 3 minutes in? fucking 15 seconds of melody lmao. followed by dropping you back at the bus stop with your pants on backwards lmao
same thing for the mixture. except no melody, and precisely 0:42 in i realize its gonna be like Paid in Full - a completely face stomping 0 melody intro track haha

like after years and years they still make me crack a smile when they do that shit. evil overlords indeed.
also, yeah, Gus became unnecessary on no sleep i think. especially bc barr added more cleans and songwriting involving story telling (no offense but guy is more of a hype man than storyteller lol)
different animals it was just plainly obvious Gus sucked compared to Myke, but i still like that record (actually when i found volumes in 2017!)
on coming clean, Gus was just absolutely unneeded. myke carried any good moments there besides until the end. his screams are fkn savage

The only thing I can say for Gus is that he was really good live. But on the albums he's been mediocre since at least No Sleep.
