I'd rather have them do what they do well and have some minimal variance in there than start pulling an In Flames. Being "experimental" can definitely have its downsides.

Well the guitarists' (don't remember the names atm) have said that they have drawn a lot of influence from immolations guitar lines and you can hear it, even though these guys have their idiosyncratic sense of harmony and voicings, there's a lot of immolation in the riffs.
Both albums kinda try to sound apocalyptic and tense, too
