Not my favorite but it's definitely up there. The last three minutes are evocative as fuck.

I think the Colour of Air and Wire The Drums sections are more powerful than Spiral Circus, but the whole track is phenomenal so there's nothing wrong with any part

Oh the 90s... But seriously, they already gave quite awesome performances back then - if not at least amusing to watch retrospectively.

His hair is ridiculously silky. And I enjoy watching their older performances, the band as a 4 piece on stage

Stars Die is one of the best PT songs ever[2]
It'd be in my top 5 probably.

This has some of the best lyrics PT have written. The Moon Touches Your Shoulder is a poem from start to finish. Dislocated Day has one of the most bizzare, yet captivating (even mezmerizing) lyrics I've read:
Stood beside an inlet
A starfish leads a dance
It dreams it is a human
And falls into a trance

I know he wrote some pretty great stuff in PTs early days

His surreal lyrics are nice agreed. He really could go back to that instead of writing his 23rd ghost story or 47th modern world critique.

"I know he wrote some pretty great stuff in PTs early days" [2]
Agreed. Although lyrics have never really been the band's strongest point, in my opinion.

easily the weakest point

He was only ever good (and I use that term loosely) at writing psychedelic nonsense.

The lyrics are easily a given lol. For a lack of a better way of describing it, his lyrics more often than not suck ass.

Your unpleasant family
Smashed up my car
Your unpleasant family
How vile they are
Not from the album in question but worth a mention. Not such a bad little tune, though, but yeah fuck his lyrics.

^Yes.. That's a good example of.. not good.

At least with these he is (or rather he's trying to be) ironic and playful so they don't hurt as much as some of his Deadwing ones or "Don't Hate Me". But yeah agreed his 1996+ lyrics are generally bad.
