Dummy and Third have the lion's share of best Portishead tracks between them whereas this has (almost) all their weakest, so I dunno about that. Don't think their darker efforts at cabaret kitsch here are at all stylish

'Third' is great but this just feels more Portishead'y (the Matrix style residual notion I carry in my mind) and also this arrived when I was 18 and away from home the first time in my life which was damn perfect.



I like all the songs here. 'Nylon Smile' and 'Deep Water' I don't enjoy as much as any song here...it's close though.
