this should never be listened to on anything other than massive speakers + sub. headphones are also acceptable, assuming they go over your ear and ran you more than 25 bucks.

he Money Store was a glitchy, industrial mess of digitized noise, but at its core the urgency was structured, and for all its boisterous eruptions and plastering drums it was held in place by its greasy hooks and MC Ride’s authoritative, throaty statements.

DUDE. lovely sentence

his visceral Tourette’s-influenced bluster

this rubs me the wrong way a lil bit =/

Government Plates, in typical Death Grips fashion, is not without its wealth of filler (“This is Violence Now,” the middle 3 minutes of “Birds,” “Bootleg” to name just a few) to bring it down.

But why are these songs considered filler? It's always good to explain such labels.

No Love Deep Web had some relatively mellow songs like closer “Artificial Death in the West,” which seemed almost seraphic when held up to Death Grips’ typically schizophrenic light, but these respites are all but gone on Government Plates

just wanted to discuss this point a little. i think Fuck Who's Watching is the most 'seraphic' (that word hehe) thing these guys have ever done, so it's interesting that you say this. seriously i think i'm the only person that hears brilliance in that song.

very good review as a whole, maybe my favorite of yours lately. i think you're like me, in that your writing gets a bit better when you read a lot about an artist (assuming you've been keeping up with DG over the last year as I have)
