the second song is actually so much worse. his vocals are so whiny and annoying in the chorus. it's just so gratingly off-key and cringe-worthy. the music is indeed awesome though and his voice is actually kind of nice when he isn't be all eccentric and whiny

His voice was at its best on 'On Time Spent Waiting' or whatever the name was again. It had a sense of despair but accompanied by a not to be underestimated playful flair.

We're going to be in a car for six hours on friday, I hope she's looking forward to hearing this 12 times in a row!

I always thought a girlfriend would make me stop listening to emo music.

you guys seriously like that shit? i feel embarrassed for him listening to it. idk if it being so out of tune and whiny makes it seem more artistic or something to you guys but fuck me that sounds awful

i'm still in love with with your greatest fears though

It's not that it's out of tune. That is just common in all things emo. It's just that he seems to lack some plausiblity. I don't know, but wailing vocals need to have a sincerity in them. Probably the reason while most 90's bands only lasted a couple of albums. They lost their existentialistic outlook I think.

when your voice is squeaky and out of tune conflicting with the excellent music then yes emotion is embarrassing. there's a difference between being emotional and being juvenile

Do you like Mineral Gyromania? For me, Chris Simpson's vocals are the embodiment of emo.

I get that trebor. But I just think his vocals are unparalelled in its sincerity. The guy really sounded like a wreck (mentally)

yes, i definitely do.

'I WISH I COULD TEAR YOUR HEARRRRRT OUT' lol come on this is such juvenile shit especially when he's wailing like a prepubescent kid. i think this is a good album overall and has some of my favourite musical moments in any album, but some of it is, again, embarrassingly bad
