One of my close friends has the Axe Fx II. Yeah, you can do anything on it, but it sucks out all the fun of playing guitar imo.

i'm just a guy who sits in his bedroom and just likes to jam out on guitar. i don't see why an axe fx wouldn't be tremendous fun in that capacity. why buy a giant amp and a shitload of effects pedals?
i can see why people don't like it when it comes to recording and playing live but i don't see it as this evil piece of machinery

Axe Fx definitely has it's benefits if you are constantly on tour or just a bedroom player but I will always enjoy the feel of tweaking the physical EQ knobs and researching what next pedal to buy. Plus just looking at an amp and seeing the tubes glow is a beautiful thing. And feeling the air push against you from a cranked amp? It cannot be beat.
Call me old fashioned.
