Question out of curiosity, does anyone remember/watched Danny Phantom? I feel like I'm the only person who has.

Danny Phantom was pretty good. My favs that still hold up perfectly are of course avatar, older spongebob, Jimmy neutron, and Invader ZIM. Holy crap ZIM is hysterical.

Just finished watching the original show again and I gotta say, it's still the best. At times you truly forget you're watching a cartoon because it has so much depth. Especially in the finale.

I don't get how it was. If it's the energy bending thing, you need to remember that this was presented as a kids show so he surely couldn't kill him.

It got the finale it needed imo and damn that final eight minutes or so is so heart warming.

In hindsight it definitely seemed like they pulled it out of their ass but it still worked imo. I'm glad they developed that a bit in Korra. Aside from that plot device, I didn't think the overall ending was lame. Everything got ultimate closure.

I've seen worse endings for sure though (like Death Note, just ughhh)

Haven't watched Deathnote, and I'm not interested either.

I haven't watched many animes but death note really let me down with that ending. Nearly ruined all the build up the show had IMO. At least with the energy bending thing it's something that made sense to happen, considering aangs incorruptible nature.

You should watch the first arc of death note because it's probably one of the best anime series in
recent history up to that point

the series just turns to shit really fast after that

Other anime series with really shitty endings include Sword Art Online, Mirai Nikki, Evangelion
(they fixed that with the movie though, thank god), Spice and Wolf, The World God Only Knows and
fucking Angel Beats!

And I say this with a heavy heart because I love Evangelion, Spice and Wolf and The World God Only

I will say that the ending for SAO was kinda crappy. But they are continuing the series which is nice.
