i've spent the last 4 years of my life looking for an album like this
if anything else in electronic music can match the organic, elastic push-pull of the bassline in open eye signal let me know

maybe you're hearing something different to what i'm hearing
i really like amber and garbage, incunabula, quaristice and tri repetae have their moments but i can't really get on board with the rest of their stuff

exai does not sound organic to me in anyway, if anything it's their most monolithic work to me anyways (confield seems the most alien, however)

its organic in a different way. like it doesn't sound like its made by humans, its so complex and ever evolving and layered that it turns otherwise harsh and piercing sounds into forms that have their own life in a way
if u can get into quaristice the rest will hit you eventually

isn't autechre's later work almost defined by how inhuman and mechanical it sounds? not that that's a bad thing in any way but when i talk about 'organic' i mean it more in the use of timbre and the sound palette than the structure of the music itself
having said that your description of ae makes them sound fucking badass so i will relisten to some of the newer stuff now

What makes Autechre so intriguing is that their music sounds so cold and distant (with the exception of some of their earlier material). It sounds otherworldly and giving it a truly organic feel would cheapen the experience.
On another note, Open Eye Signal is seriously one of the best dance tracks of all time.

Yeah, you've pretty much nailed it. I agree a warmer sound wouldn't suit them nearly as well but that's one of the things i love about this album
