So I guess this is pretty good. Weird combination of aggression and melody, but I like it so far.

I will blast "Dream House" at the loudest volume and open all my windows upon moving into my dream house. Then the neighbours will know what's up.

It seems a little odd to me to compare this album to Starlit Passage or the Great White Emptiness, as a lot of what people seem to like about this album is the uplifting aesthetic.

Also, Wizard, to me its not so much the vocals that define the screamo influence but more the chord choice, rhythmic patterns, and production that make me think of Envy or Mesa Verde.

Bosse-de-nage winds up having a similar feel because of their post rock influence, snare dominant rhythms, and probably more than anything their shared obsession with suspended chords but I just personally prefer Deafheaven's sound. Also while the results are similar, I actually don't think some of the elements these two bands share derive from the same influences (for example BDN is more heavily influenced by post rock IMO).

We should just change this to post rock and drop the metal tag altogether.

Sometimes I listen to this and I like it, then the next time I don't, then I like some of it again, then I think it's boring. I'm kinda confused.

Got my copy of this today. Sadly one of the corners is super bent despite being marked "fragile."
