No, and I listen to a decent amount of pop punk. I always thought of these guys as a pop/rock band. I never really thought there was any punk in there. I suppose I could see it on some songs from the first two albums, but I always just thought they rocked with some pop for added flavor.

Yeah... Two whole people got slightly irritated about what you said. What a backlash you have created here.

"sorry... but i have an opinion."

Fair enough. I think Anberlin's the most brutal death metal band ever, and therefore every album is deserving of a 5. Because it's an opinion I'm sure it's not idiotic.

And wow, teach me to how to extrapolate an entire album off the first quarter! It'd really help me reach more ratings and misjudge more albums!

Seriously, though, I don't really care if you dislike the album after listening to 3 tracks, but if

you feel the need to announce it on the thread, I don't see why you wouldn't expect people to

respond.

Isn't the whole point of posting on a public forum so you generate a response? What exactly were you

expecting?

Well honestly, you can pretty much judge the sound of a band or musician from listening to the first 3 tracks of an album

I know before i get an album i listen to a track or two before i download it to get a feel for the sound.

ahh i think i should avoid posting in shitrock forums. I got alot of hate from disliking bands such as the dear hunter, thrice and a few others.

SHITROCKS NOT MEANT FOR ME. dammmmn it

I like Desires and Modern Age quite a bit and Orpehum isn't too bad either. Type 3 is one of my least favorite songs though.

Lyrics to that song are great. Too bad my Bible-thumping 'friend' (who removed me on FB for objecting to his anti-gay statuses one too many times) decided to quote part of the lyrics.

Anyways does the beginning of Type Three remind you of Closer? Every time I hear the first four chords I just expect that delayed guitar to come in

Inevitable is the kind of song I would want to dance to at my wedding, but I think removed from anything like that I'd prefer Type Three
