like to the point where it's hard to hear it on the ipod even if it's turned up all the way. it's like super low volume. danzig's first record is a bit like that too.

i dont use an ipod but yea early CDs were much quiter as they allowed for more dynamics which is a very good thing. you should look up the loudness wars bro its pretty interesting

thing is if you didnt use a crappy ipod you could just turn those quieter albums up and get the best sound possible. but yea with ipods its prob hard to even tell whats brick walled or not

not really. for example, i have the og and rm versions of rip on the pod and the sound difference is very obvious.

if you just brickwalled the original mix i'm sure most ipod listeners wouldnt even know, they'd just be like hey its finally loud enough for my shitty headphones thanks roadrunner :D
