I really don't know why they haven't kicked M. Shadows to the curb. They could probably get back to this point with another good to great quality vocalist.

I actually dont like Metalcore. I only like this album, The Fall Of Ideals by All That Remains, and Gone Forever by God Forbid. The rest of the Metalcore genre is kind of bad.

Josh D. and ninjuice, you both aren't alone. Avenged Sevenfold have never brought anything that good to the table. This is generic metalcore plus a guy who can't scream, which means this is like Atreyu.This Message Edited On 05.28.08

Atreyu and Avenged S. both have average guitarists, one just uses them way more *Cough* A7x *Cough*, and both of their singers can't scream but did it all the time. The guitar work gets obviously over the top and annoying on this album, and M Shadows baboonish screams really get in the way. A7x, however, has more potential than Atreyu, but completely squanders. This album is too long and obnoxious and creates only one song worth listening to, which would be Chapter 4.

pretty much, Atreyu have never had good guitarists. Avenged Sevenfold guitarists have gotten to the point where they realize if they play any sort of lead 13 year old girls will scream their training bras off

I don't know, I just hate all the cliches and M. Shadows "screams". A7x always seems to follow crappy trend, with this they sound like every other metalcore band. On City of Evil they sounded like a Guns N' Roses clone, and on S/t they combined every single non-metal gimmick (including the worst circus ever) with Hard Rock.

2. Sidewinder
3. Burn It Down
4. Brompton Cocktail
5. That one song off of Seventh Trumpet that I don't hate.
