So there's only room in music for serious, inspiring, perfectly produced music? Yea their style is cliche and cookie cutter but they do it well, this album has hooks and it certainly has more charm and character than their completely heartless sophomore followup record.

what are you trying to say with that? also haven't heard the new one (for obvious reasons) so can't really compare this to it

I'm just trying to say there's a time and place for everything. Sure I prefer to listen to music with more depth, quality and intellect a majority of the time, kinda like how i try to eat almost all of my meals as healthy as possible for the past few months, but every so often a shitty burger from McDonalds does the trick. Imagine Dragons are like that shitty burger, it's not my usual cup of tea but sometimes it hits the spot perfectly. Sure it's uninspired, just like 16 year old Kevin does not give a fuck about the burger he's mutilating on the back grill and you're the lucky soul who gets to eat it. It's cheesy and overproduced, just like the slice of American Cheese that's straddling your sandwich and looks more like mold and god damn it Regina why is my burger soaked in ketchup and mustard like I'm about to shower in it.... But, despite it's flaws for being a shitty burger/mainstream pop music, it's not that bad when you're in the mood for it.

It's funny JWT, you named three of the worst tracks on this album in your example earlier. And yeah, this album is just like a McDouble. After repeated meals over and over in a short amount of times, and you are wishing for the sweet embrace of death.
I don't know how radio play for this album was in other places. But back in Utah, radio stations ate up the fact that a group of Mormons were mainstream.

I genuinely can't fathom why they didn't release "Bleeding Out" as a single, it was one of the best tracks on the record. It would have been a better single than "Hear Me", which was terrible.
