There are some really good tracks in here, but also a couple that fall flat. The album is very heavy, yet it has this euphoric kind of feel to it. This is the kind of album that needs several listens before I can really put a rating on it, but i'm feeling a 3.5-4.0 rating.

Nah, this is their tightest album, they learned how to trim some fat. Mars is still close to this though.

You have to admit, Mars had a few tracks where they just ran out of ideas. They really seemed to nail their sound on here, especially the opening track that ends on their finest moment of their career. I love that weird kind of Americana country dynamic they threw in at the end of that song.

couldn't agree more, there are plenty of snooze worry tunes on mars, but they still pull them off well, just get a little boring
