"Nothing will always be the album that made me love Meshuggah in the first place." I agree with this statement, Koloss is a grand album though. Nothing wrong with it being a bit more minimal then usual.

unless you know from reading it somewhere, I doubt anyone can tell that it's in fact a drum machine and not haake, just saying

Catch 33 is their most progressive, which is always a plus for me. The lyrics are Meshuggah at their most interesting on that album, Minds Mirrors/In Death Is Life/ In Death Is Death

Dont know why the rest didnt post, but I also posted about how it doesnt matter that Haake used a drum machine because he arranged the music himself and it sounds just as killer as ever, the atmosphere is horrifying, everything is basically perfect on that album IMO while DEI does not sound nearly as tight and more like a band looking to find their own sound

they did find their own sound on DEI it's only after that they started experimenting with it.

@ DarkSideOfLucca Most progressive doesn't mean always that an album must be good....

i mean, i love a few tracks, namely Straws Pulled at Random, Nebulous, and Spasm, but the album is downright boring compared to their other stuff
