There are arguments for both being the best for sure. I just prefer this because the songs are more solidly structured and memorable. Plus the title track is the best thing ever.

i dunno, while there are some really well-written songs on here, this feels a lot more polished and corporate than illusion, which by contrast is rawer and more genuine

I'm fairly certain they all agree that it's overproduced as well. I recall an interview where they were asked what their least favorite or most disappointing record was and this was the one, specifically because of the production and label bullshit

yeah but there's one argument that wins it and it's CAN WE
CAN WE KILL EACH OTHER QUICKLY
oh and the structures are ace on illusion, i find them a little too controlled here

I go to Illusion for catharsis and chaos, and this when I just want something really hard-hitting. They're both great, but I don't prefer the writing on either over the other tbh (Illusion is my fave because of the performance and production)

Illusion has better highlights but this is more consistent for me. There are a couple songs on Illusion that I can skip depending on the day, but I can listen to this straight through every time.
