Unforgettable? Forreal? I mean I think it's really catchy/the production is fantastic but it's one of
the songs where the lyrics aren't fantastic but it's still enjoyable for previously mentioned reasons.
oh god Lust for Life is one of the best openers ever.

there's something so mysterious and beautiful abt the aalIyah samPle at the beginning to me so maybe I'm biased. I love the
momentum of the track and against all odds the jeezy hook. In a word gorgeous
Let me know, let me knowwwww AHH that just gets me. One of those things that is hard to explain

I just absolutely love Miss Me so much for some unexplained reason. It isn't one of my favorites and
the lyrics are pretty meh but it probably has the biggest replay value for me out of all of Thank Me
Later. That Swizz beat is just unf. Drake's just catchy as fuck.

Lil Wayne's miss me verse is awesome. I think my favorite part is the hook though. One thing I sort of miss from thank me later (I guess lord knows sorta has it) is the structure
Of a sort of bombastic beat (see "fancy") to a really cool "submerged" sound over which drake sings (well at least on miss me and fancy). I love how the miss me hook just keeps sorta adding layers and momentum until awesomely segueing back to the verse beat. Prett uniquely "drake"

Also in an interview drake was all like "I think I it as me and 40 as like a duo. Like we together ARE drake" and I was all like
YES. it literally made me happy to hear that he thought of it that way. Yep

I feel bad for hoping 40 doesn't go working with other rappers because he really just clicks so well for Drake.

I really like The Real Her. The beat and production are great. Wayne's verse isn't too bad either. I really didn't like Andre's though.

ASAP Rocky on what he's learned most from touring with Drake on Complex,
ASAP: Humbleness and sincerity. He has more money than me. He has more bitches than me. He has more
fame than me. And he’s more humble than I am.
Complex: That’s a good quality.
ASAP: It’s the best quality. I feel like more people need to be like that. I would prefer to be
modest than belligerent or arrogant. And he’s one of them niggas where—no homo—he can let his nuts
hang. He could show his ass off, no homo... We threw a party the other day. The whole time, Drake is
in this corner just chilling. He’s talking to his homeboy, not even fucking with the bitches.
Bitches are staring at him the whole time. They’re looking at me, staring at him. When they look at
me, I’m like, “Hey, get over here.” They look at him, he don’t even see them and shit. He’s just one
of those cats, where it’s like—he knows. It’s on.. I’ve got mad love for Drake.

That would be such a good show to see.
I think the reason it's becoming cool amongst "hip-hop heads" to hate Drake so much is because Drake is really changing the entire genre to where it's less about technicality or how much depth is in your wordplay (though he does has some fantastic, subtle sparse wordplay), but he's gearing it towards more towards blurring the line between hip-hop and just "music" in general in the sense that Drake's music is more about how genius the songwriting and how personal the lyrics are/their subtext over the fact that he's not making multisyllabic rhymes about racial segregation or something. Plus the fact is that he's so REAL is that he's not afraid to reveal how vulnerable and pathetic he can be in real life, which is a HUGE no-no in the genre where braggadocio is such a cornerstone and even when Kanye's ridiculously personal, it shows how amazing he thinks he is regardless of his asshole-dom and when Common or Joe Budden get "personal" in a sad way, all it does is acknowledge the fact that they can be sad over breakups, but Drake shows you how he can be a scumbag while being sad and pull drunk dials while his old girl's boy is away and will be fucking other girls on tour while he's madly in love with this girl back home that he promises to keep as soon as he comes home.
and the fact that he's ridiculously popular for it, of course/the fact that his singles are only made for poppy catchiness' sake and great production (ex: Miss Me, Headlines, etc.) the only two exceptions to that rule is Successful and Marvins Room.
