Still loving this.

I can't tell the tracks apart
This is me with nearly every modern metal album I've ever listened to
|
| |
ahaha, I get that more with old metal, but I don't listen to any of it so yeah
|
| |
Tbh, I have this problem with every album I listen to.
I think I only have this problem because whenever I listen to an album for the first time (whether I end up enjoying it or hating it) I never bother to look at the song titles while it's playing so I pretty much never end up knowing which song is which.
Unless the vocalist actually says the song name in the song multiple times haha.

| |
yeah I do that as well, but usually if I like a song I will check what it's called so I can listen to it again, it usually takes me about 5 listens of an album for me to know the names of all the tracks, if not then I probably haven't "got into" the album
|
| |
Hell, I can barely name 5 tracks from even my most favourite albums...I'm exaggerating a bit, but in general it's quite true.

it just takes me a while. sometimes every song on a album will sound exactly the same, but once you listen to it a lot they all sound distinct

You guys should give Entities a chance, they sort of remind me of this and Aristeia.

"Hey guys we are spacey because we use xylophones a lot!"
That artist description seriously makes me want to punch this band in the face because it sounds like they are extremely into themselves. Either that or they got Victory Records to write it for them. Good review, though. I didn't mind this but I don't find this as interesting as everyone else seems to. There were some cool riffs and some decent synth parts and at times they sounded kinda similar to The Contortionist.
Also, Entities has an extremely annoying vocalist who uses the same vocal patterns throughout their music. Their music is decent too but I honestly can't stand their vocalist.
There seems to be a trend going on with the newcomers of djent. If you have a decent keyboardist, overuse him.

:O Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I already explained on the same page.

i didnt know there was a correct way to listen to an album
|
| |
I suppose I can speak on it once more:
I was talking mainly about song titles and how I can never connect them with their respective songs. This has mostly to do with me rarely looking at the song titles when an album is playing for the first time and it just remains that way whenever I listen to the album.
Unless there is something totally unique about a song (a hook, chorus, guitar line, or the lyrics contain the song's title) that separates it from the others then I will probably never be able to make the connections.

| |
Yea I'm shitty with song titles too. Sometimes I forget the album's name lol
2cent: As I drift ever farther way from deathcore, I still find this a kickass album. If it were any longer than an EP it would probably get pretty tedious though.

This band needs to release an LP. I like their heavy focus on atmosphere/ambience, beneath the grove based deathcore sections. Good composition, good vocal work, good musicianship.

As long as they keep their songwriting varied an LP would be great. If it was just an extended take on this piece tho I'd get a little irked, it would need some more atmospheric tracks and some emphasis on an overarching theme.
