script and fugazi are proggier and this is like "we're our own band now and we're sick of people saying we sound like genesis" but its still awesome, as is clutching at straws
try the first album and go in order
they add more and more pop influences and normal sounding music as time goes on and then fish leaves and they turn into elevator prog!

Clutching at Straws is more down to earth towards alcoholism, Misplaced Childhood has a larger than life felling. This is my favourite but both are great.
