I love how Sputnik has these double standards.... Deftones' Diamond Eyes - which was essentially just a summation of their entire career to date - got almost universal praise on here. This album is pretty much in the same boat, and yet it's considered Agalloch's weakest album? XD

well, Pale Folklore is boring and so is this. i happened to really like Ashes Against the Grain because I'm a huge post-metal/post-rock junkie and I love how they incorporated it. These guys just aren't good when they're trying to be metal.
