I'm talking about the big picture of the album man, he's letting out all his negative feeling in a cathartic way
That's why their next two albums are so happy and shit and why nobody likes them as much
On their first few albums Issac's lyrics were about how he hated everything and didn't fit in and shit, on this record he was finally understanding the universe and his place in it, and becoming happy and what not
Then he moved to Portland and become truly happy which is why Good News and We Were Dead aren't nearly as satisfying
