The more that things change, the more they stay the same!

You don't have to speak French for enjoying this album, as you know it.

good stuff, L'Heptade blows it away though

Initially, both albums don't have the same intention. This one is an heartfelt prog folk and songs are highly acoustic in nature. For the ambitious l'Heptade however, Harmonium took a decisive step towards the symphonic prog genre, incorporating a full-blown orchestra into the mix. It's impossible for me to choose a favorite between these two. They're different and they are similar at the same time.

I prefer this album because it's so unique. I've not heard anything like it.

Yes, they're really original. There are couple of songs from l'Heptade that would not be out of place into ''Les 5 Saisons''. Same for their eponymous.

Most definitely. Histoires sans paroles has some of the best mellotron work I've ever heard.

Damn right! And that flute melody! Album is enriched by the flute, piano and mellotron throughout and it brings a magical soundscape. Plus vocals are well done and suit the music very well.

Agreed!
En pleine face is so damn great too. The vocals are just perfect there.
I seriously need to practice my French so I can understand the lyrics.

Every song represents a season, and Fiori does have a knack to talk about them poetically.

"Où es-tuuuuuuuuuuu, j'en pluuus
Je ne t'entends pluuus, où es-tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu?..."

Cette parole me rend les larmes aux yeux...

^Cette chanson tombe trop vite en fade out, comme si elle avait peur de la venue de l'accordéon.

That song goes in fade out too fast, like if it was afraid of the accordion to come.

The fade out is important though as it allows histoires sans paroles to fade in

Je préfère entendre des histoires sans paroles plutôt que du Dixieland comme depuis l'automne, ça me rend vert rien que d'y penser. Retenez moi, je vais tomber en pleine face si j'y pense trop.

I could have done better, but for a first attempt, I guess it's okay ;)
