Only listened through to this a few times - too early to rate yet. I got kind of an Elliott Smith/Nick Drake vibe off the first track, but that was totally shattered before long. The only album in my collection I could compare it to is Merriweather Post Pavillion but I dunno if that's a faux pas.
Anyway I like what I hear, I find it more interesting than MPP. And good review.

Your review is lovely, good sir. I saw him live in Atlanta in early November and the show was phenomenal. I gained a lot of respect for the album after hearing the inspiration behind it.

I think it's over time people stop reacting to it and start to delve into what makes the album good/or bad in a more serious manner.... but I also just came back from the bars and am drunk. Woot woot!

Never heard anything by this guy but I just got this and I'm listening to it for the first time. Too much is a pretty amazing song, this isn't what I expected at all.
